Susan Woodward OBE

Susan is the strategic advisor and Project Director to Manchester for the Sharp Project - a digital media development in East Manchester which will focus on CGI, animation and deliver a worldwide network of Virtual Super Studios connected by broadband technologies.

She is a Board member of Manchester’s Commission for the New Economy where she chairs the Commissions’ Enterprise Board.

She was Managing Director ITV Granada and Director of Regional Affairs for all 11 ITV plc television stations.

She was the Creative Director for the 2002 Commonwealth Games responsible for content, management and budget of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and all media and marketing campaigns.

Susan was awarded the OBE by the Queen for services to Broadcasting, and the Commonwealth Games.

She was also Creative Director for the city of Liverpool and wrote the creative bid for the City of Liverpool which secured the City the title of European Capital of Culture 2008

She went on to chair the Liverpool City Region Health Is Wealth Commission.

NW Business Woman of the Year 2005, Susan now  chairs the  North West Women in Business Think Thank for senior women executives working in the legal, banking and financial sector

She is married, with one son and lives in Manchester and runs her own creative industries consultancy.
