The site Lightmaker Manchester built for top-end London store Liberty had to highlight both the designer products on sale there and the shopping experience itself. The agency’s response was a photo-mosaic approach that allowed it to mirror the diversity of the ranges and of the store. Lightmaker ended up taking 2,300 digital photographs of the Liberty store to support the continuing development of the site.
The judges loved the way the site celebrated the eccentricity of the Liberty offer, saying it delivered “an almost tactile experience that perfectly matches the brand”.

The judges liked the way this site, for upcoming punk-pop act The Maccabees, used video rather than still images as its backdrop, matching the stop-motion feel to the jerky feel of the music.
