Agency: Cybertill Ltd

The evolving nature of commerce in the UK has seen interactive technology affecting every part of the business. Cybertill, an electronic point of sale (EPoS), e-commerce and mail order system underpinned by a CRM interface, has created a unique solution to modern retail issues. Delivered over an Application Service Provider platform Cybertill was created by taking existing technology including broadband to deliver SME retailer’s technology that was previously only available to their larger competitors.
The system works by replacing on site servers and hardware by delivering software through browsers over an intranet (a virtual private network) and as the system uses the latest Internet Protocols it can take advantage of ADSL connectivity. Cybertill is operated by both SME's such as St Helens Rugby League Club and major companies such as Fujitsu and has been built up in a short amount of time using VC funding. Retailers using the system are now saving between 30 – 60% in the cost of owning and running an EPoS system and it enables retailers to increase turnover by 10%, improve gross profits by 4 – 8 % and reduce stock by 30%. Due to its early success the company intends to double its staff by January 2007 to 80 employees
