Big Chip opened for entries on 5 January 2012 and closed on 12th March. The shortlist was announced on 26 April. You can see all the entry categories below as well as the special awards chosen from the shortlisted entries.

There is one new category in 2012 - Best Use of Gaming. The rules on when a project should have been completed or launched have been changed to take account of projects which take longer to achieve their objectives - more details here.
